N. Korea is upping it’s rhetoric against the U.S. over sanctions imposed on it by the UN. The Whitehouse, and U.S. Secretary of Defense Hagel are taking the nuclear threat seriously, and are moving missile defense system to Guam. N. Korea claims that war could be only a few days away.

"North Korea dramatically escalated its warlike rhetoric on Thursday, warning that it had authorized plans for nuclear strikes on targets in the United States.
"The moment of explosion is approaching fast," the North Korean military said, warning that war could break out "today or tomorrow".
Pyongyang’s latest pronouncement came as Washington scrambled to reinforce its Pacific missile defenses, preparing to send ground-based interceptors to Guam and dispatching two Aegis class destroyers to the region.
Tension was also high on the North’s heavily fortified border with South Korea, after Kim Jong-Un’s isolated regime barred South Koreans from entering a Seoul-funded joint industrial park on its side of the frontier.” - AFP

About video: In the latest sign of escalating tensions with North Korea, the Pentagon said it will send an advanced ballistic missile defense system to Guam in the coming weeks, as Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel called Pyongyang a real and clear threat.

This morning the singer Cher got very upset because the guys on Morning Joe on MSNBC were talking over their female co-host Mika, just because she was talking about women’s issues.Mika made many valid points about Mitt Romney’s position on women, and was very upset that he lied during the debate about the Binders of Women statement. Joe seems flustered that Mika was talking about women’s issues with such passion, and tried to paint it as a Democrat issue instead of a just a women’s political issue.Bravo to Cher and Mika for standing up for women!Read Cher’s timeline to see what else was said: https://twitter.com/cherMorning Joe responded and said that Cher was a valued viewer, and then played her song during the transition to commercial. Julian Assange makes his first public appearance in two months, ever since he took refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy in London. The WikiLeaks founder was granted political asylum on Thursday — a decision that ignited a wave of international responses, with the UK and Sweden opposing the verdict and Latin American countries strongly supporting Ecuador’s move.

"The diplomatic and political minefield that is the fate of Julian Assange is expected to come a step closer to being traversed when Ecuador’s president, Rafael Correa, gives his decision on whether his country will grant the WikiLeaks’ founder asylum around lunchtime on Thursday.

The decision — if it comes — will mark the end of a turbulent process that on Wednesday night saw Ecuador’s foreign minister, Ricardo Patiño, raging against perceived threats from Britain to “storm” the embassy and warning that such a “dangerous precedent” would be met with “appropriate responses in accordance with international law”.

The dramatic development came two months after Assange suddenly walked into the embassy in a bid to avoid being extradited to Sweden, where he faces allegations of sexual assault…”.* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

Live video feed from the front of the Ecuadorian embassy, where Julian Assange is awaiting the ruling on if Ecuador will grant him asylum. The UK government has threatened to arrest Assange inside the Ecuadorian embassy, which is seen as very disrespectful and would violate several treaties. Ecuador will announce their decision at 7am London time.
